The invention provides an agent for treating Meniere's disease which contains a sugar or a sugar alcohol as an active ingredient and contains a polysaccharide in an amount of 5 to 50% by weight of the sugar or sugar alcohol, assures an effect of reducing endolymphatic hydrops by eliminating a cathartic action derived from the sugar or sugar alcohol, and further has a potentiated effect. The treatment agent can be provided in the form of a gel, a powder, a granule or the like.
