<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a preview image for allowing a user to intuitively recognize both page sequence and sides of each page image as a result of duplex printing. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is configured to specify the page of one page image to be formed on the front face of a recording material in duplex printing, and to display a turn-over image g1, as a print preview image, wherein the recording material on the uppermost face is partially turned over when a plurality of recording sheets are stacked as a print preview image, and to display a page image g12 formed at the front face section of the recording sheet on the uppermost face in a first region p1 corresponding to the front face section and a portion of images g22 and g32 extracted from the corresponding page images respectively in a second region p2 corresponding to the rear face section and a third region p3 corresponding to the front face section of the second recording sheet.
