PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new animal cell and its use. SOLUTION: A diploid animal cell containing a mutation in at least one allele of the gene encoding theε-isoenzyme of protein kinase C (PKCε) gives lower PKCεactivity level than wild type-cells because of the mutation.
