PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power converter capable of increasing the electric power conversion efficiency in a wider range of electric power load than before.SOLUTION: A comparator (150) compares an effective value of an AC current (Iout1) and a setting value which is set by a setting section (140). When the comparison result by the comparator (150), the effective value of the AC current (Iout1) is equal to or smaller than the setting value, the switching command generation section (160) stops an inverter (2) from driving and outputs a stop instruction which represents that an inverter (1) only is driven to modulation wave generation sections (131 and 132), and outputs a gate block signal to a pulse generation section 112.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
