PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the security performance of an on-vehicle communication system.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle communication system 1 includes: a plurality of ECUs 5 communicably connected through a first bus 7; a second bus 13 to which an external tool 9, as an outside vehicle device which exists outside a vehicle 3, is connected through a connector 11; and a gateway (GW) 15 connected to the first bus 7 and the second bus 13, for relaying data communication between the external tool 9, which is connected to the second bus 13 through the connector 11, and the ECU 5. In the on-vehicle communication system 1, when a supervision device 17, connected to the second bus, for detecting a DoS attack (Denial of Service attack) from the outside vehicle device determines the occurrence of a DoS attack, the supervision device 17 transmits to the gateway 15 an attack notification indicative of the occurrence of the DoS attack. On receiving the attack notification, the gateway 15 stops the relay.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
