PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize variation in the transmission speed of a transmission signal with the conventional technique, to keep the ratio of the residual and lost packets equivalent to the conventional technique, when the loss characteristics of packet in a transmission path is random loss, and to reduce the ratio in a case of burst loss.SOLUTION: In a case where a data packet of number of columns L(=4) and the number of rows D(=4) is a unit, the parity packet generation unit 11 of a transmitter 1 generates a parity packet in the lower-right direction from four data packets in the lower-right direction (lower-right oblique direction) according to a parity packet generation rule, and generates a parity packet in the lower-left direction from four data packets in the lower-left direction (lower-left oblique direction). A transmission unit 12 arranges a data packet, a parity packet in lower-right direction and a parity packet in lower-left direction in order, according to a packet transmission order rule, and transmits them while housing in an Ethernet packet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
