PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can obtain a good image over a long period of time by lowering a paper dust density in the image forming apparatus by transferring paper dust in a developing device at a time to transfer paper together with toner by automatically and periodically carrying out image forming such as a black solid image. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus for carrying out the image forming is provided with the developing device 12 which houses a two-component developer consisting of the toner and a carrier and develops an electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor 10, and a toner recycling mechanism which returns toner cleaned by the cleaning device 15 of the photoreceptor 10 to the developing device 12. The image forming apparatus forms an image or the black solid image with a high image area ratio automatically and periodically according to the number of used sheets. |
