PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which makes an initial developer on a developer carrier uniform so that toner density does not increase when the developing device is used for the 1st time and causes the developer to neither fall nor scatter when the developing device is transported and so on. SOLUTION: The developing device is equipped with a developer carrier 3 which carries a two-component developer, a 1st restriction member 4 which restricts the amount of a developer, a developer storage chamber 9 which contains a developer scraped off by the 1st restriction member 4, and a 2nd restriction member 6 which is positioned on a more upstream side than the 1st restriction member 4 in the carrying direction of the developer on the developer carrier 3; and an initial developer storage case 13 which contains the initial developer 14 is arranged above the developer storage chamber 9 and part of the initial developer 14 previously sticks on the developer carrier 3. |
