PURPOSE:To prevent changes in the alignment due to exhaust air temperature height by controlling the feeding volume and temperature of water, steam, etc. in a pouched chamber at the side plate part of an exhaust chamber in response to the changes of bearing level. CONSTITUTION:A bearing stand 6 which is a supporting part of a low pressure rotor is an integrated structure with a low pressure exhaust chamber 7, a bearing 18 is put through an adjusting ring 19 on the bearing stand 6, and the bearing 18 sustains load of a low pressure rotor 5. Then, a controller 21 is worked by bearing level detecting signals S1 which have been detected by a bearing level detecting gauge 20 put on the bearing stand part, signals S2 from the controller 21 make it connect to a temperature adjusting device 22, so that it can control the feeding temperature of water or steam into a pouched chamber 16 which is installed at the side plate part 9 of the exhaust chamber. |
