The folding machine has a feed table (2) with a conveying roller (18) on its end, which conveying roller (18) projects through an aperture (21) into the region of the supporting surface of the sheets of paper to be processed. The said conveying roller (18) is rotatably mounted on the feed table (2). The frame (5) of the folding machine accommodates a motor-driven shaft (17) which, when the feed table (2) is in use, becomes frictionally connected to the conveying roller (18). For this purpose, the conveying roller (18) is provided with two rubber rings (22) arranged at its ends and projecting over its circumference. In this way, a drive coupling between the conveying roller (18) and the machine drive is established, with a replaceable feed table (2) in an extremely simple manner. <IMAGE>
