PURPOSE:To reduce the contacting resistance among toner particles or toner and a substrate and to obtain a distinct color image without staining paper by using a toner which contains a charge transporting material. CONSTITUTION:The toner 1 which contains the charge transporting material and chromatic coloring matter and is scattered on a P-type charge generating layer 2 on a transparent conductive substrate 3 is corona-charged electrostatically by an electrostatic charger 4, and then the reverse surface of the substrate 3 is exposed to an image 5 by using white light 6 to generate electrons and positive holes from the layer 2. The positive holes neutralize negative charges on the toner which pass through the toner while the charge transporting property of the toner is secured, and the electrons move to the substrate 3 to neutralize induced plus charges. Then, the plus corona electrostatic charging of transfer paper 7 is carried out by the charger 4 and charged toner at a dark part is transferred to the paper 7; and fixation by heating and pressing is carried out by a heat roller 8 to obtain a color image corresponding to the chromatic coloring matter, and the positive holes or electrons generated at the layer 2 reach the opposite surface of a laminated toner layer to neutralize corona charges, thereby obtaining an image without residual static charges nor paper staining. |
