<p>PURPOSE:To increase an are a of a section to which a clamping force is applied at the time of sealing with resin, to reduce a pressure applied to a lead, and to prevent the lead from deforming by providing a reinforcing section of a hard material, such as a metal at the section except a conductor on a tape. CONSTITUTION:In a tape carrier composed of a tape 1 made of a flexible insulat ing material, and a conductor (lead 7) made of a conductive material formed on the tape, a reinforcing section 10 made of a hard material having a high strength, such as a metal is provided at a suitable part except that formed with the lead 7 on the tape 1. For example, the reinforcing sections 10 made of the same metal material as that of the lead 1 are, for example, formed simultaneously at (four) sections not formed with the lead 7 on the periphery of an outer lead hole 5, and (5) vacant positions of a lead support 8 between a center device hole 2 and the hole 5.</p> |
