PURPOSE:To provide an economical heat pump type bath water heating device by boiling bath water with use of a heat pump at a first predetermined time before set bathing time, and supplying a heater with electric power at a second predetermined time after the elapse of certain time for simultaneous use of the same with said heat pump. CONSTITUTION:Once a bathing time is set, it is first judged whether or not present time is before the set bathing time. If yes, present hot water temperature Tw is detected and compared with hot water temperature set value Ts, and if Tw>=Ts, an output is issued which instructs a circulation pump 12 to be on, and a compressor 21 and an electric heater 3 to be on. If Tw<Ts, the circulation pump 12 and the compressor 21 are turned on to heat the hot water temperature to Tw=Ts. If the present time is before the set bathing time after the elapse of certain time, and if the present hot water temperature successively satisfies Tw<Ts, the electric heater 3 is turned on, and the heat pump and the electric heater 3 are both employed to heat the hot water temperature to Tw=Ts. Once the hot water temperature satisfies Tw=Ts, the electric heater 3 is prevented from being again turned on in the bathing time zone. |
