PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically discriminate a CG image and a picture image by an processing device dealing with CG/picture mixed images. SOLUTION: A block dividing part 12 divides an input image into blocks. An in-block color number calculating part 14 calculate the number of colors to be used in each block. A block region discriminating part 16 compares the number of colors to be used with a threshold TH10 and specifies the attribute of each block. A block attribute changing part 18 changes a border block between CG/picture parts to an undecided block. A decided CG block individual color extracting part 20 extracts CG colors included in a decided CG block by block. A belonging block extracting part 34 extracts an object block to be processed to which an object pixel belongs with the border block as the object block to be processed. An adjacent block extracting part 36 extracts an adjacent block. An attribute specifying part 38 determines the attribute of the object pixel by comparing the pixel value of the object pixel and the CG colors. |
