PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a thin profile of an optical pickup having a biaxial actuator of the type in which a magnetic circuit is arranged away in the optical axis direction of a laser beam made incident on a rising mirror. SOLUTION: The biaxial actuator 8 is equipped with a fixed part 9 fastened on a transfer base 8; with a moving part 10 which holds an objective lens 12, which is wound with a focusing coil 13 and a tracking coils 14, 14,..., and which is operated against the fixed part in the focusing and tracking directions; and with a pair of yoke pieces 11b, 11c which are arranged apart in the axial direction of a laser beam P made incident on the rising mirror 21, with an objective lens held in-between. A magnet 18 is attached to each of the pair of yoke pieces, and also, a base part 11 is provided which is formed with a magnetic metal material. An opening part 19 which becomes an optical path of the laser beam entering the rising mirror, is formed on one of the yoke pieces in the base part. |
