PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device which can form an image corresponding to a shape of paper without error. CONSTITUTION:An operator sets paper P of requited size vertically or horizontally in the stacked condition in a paper feed cassette 12 and turns a dial 13 so that the contents displayed on a display face 130 of a dial 13 coincide with shape of the paper P set in the cassette 12. In conjunction with the turning, operation the contents of a protruded section 131 of the dial 13 coincide with the contents displayed on the display face 130. When the operator mounts the set cassette 12 in a device 10 body, the protruded section 131 at the rear side of the dial 13 pressed down a detection sensor 16. The detection sensor 16 sends code information which detects the protruded section 131 to a control section 14. The control section 14 controls image forming and forms an image on paper P based on the sent code information. |
