<p>PURPOSE: To use a pump as both a submerged pump and an air pump in a filtration unit used in a water tank for aquarium fishes such as goldfishes or tropical fishes or for decorative water plants. CONSTITUTION: The filtration chamber Fu in the filtration case C is partitioned with the filtration material 26 used in the chamber Fu into the upper stream space 32 connecting to the water-sucking opening 3 and the lower stream space 33 connecting to the draining pipe 2. A submerged pump Pw is set in the lower stream space 33 to work as a filter for the submerged pump, while it works as a filter for an air pump by connecting the air pump to the air duct 9 connecting to the lower stream room 33, instead.</p> |
