PURPOSE: To make display pictures so as not to be recognized while being blurred and overlapped at the time of dispalying a traveling object in a display device displaying the multilevel picture of the digital video signal having N bits with an address and display separation type driving method. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a subfield calculating circuit 34 calculating video data of N sheets of subfield screens in the linear interpolation between video data of a present frame to be inputted to a one frame delaying circuit 30 and the video data of a frame immediately proceeding to be outputted from the one frame delaying circuit 30 and is also provided with a synthesis circuit 42 synthesizing weighting bits corresponding to respective video data from video data of N sheets of subfield screens obtained in the calculating circuit 34, and the device corrects display positions of the traveling object in N sheets subfield screens to prescribed positions. Moreover, N pieces of subfield calculating circuit 341 -34n constituting the calculating circuit 34 are formed with first and second coefficient units 361 to 36n , 381 to 38n and adders 401 to 40n .
