PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method of an information recording medium by which good reproduction information can be obtained from pit rows for reproduction only and from guiding grooves for recording and reproduction and by playing back an intermediate region composed of a pit row by a tracking system of a differential push-pull system or a phase difference system, further optimum tracking characteristic can always be obtained even in an unrecorded region and optimum tracking characteristic can always be obtained even in a recorded region. SOLUTION: In the information recording medium, the bottom surface positions of the guiding groove and the pit row formed on a disk substrate are located on the same plane and both are even and the intermediate region composed of the pit row, the height of which changes between hight from the bottom surface to the flank of the guiding groove and height from the bottom surface to the flank of pit row, is provided at a change-over part where the pit row changes to the guiding groove or the guiding groove changes to the pit row. |
