Car-parking platform

The platform accommodates vehicles in a parking garage, its supporting surface being mounted on cross-members (16). These are bent along parallel edges from plate material, forming a top supporting surface (18) from which flanges (19,20) extend downwards. A flange-type foot (21,22) joins onto each flange at the bottom, its material being folded back to give double thickness. The folded-back portion can extend into the central chamber (25) formed by the U-shaped portion, it being then folded back again to give double thickness, its free edge being immediately adjacent to the inside surface of the respective flange.
