Apparatus for making fabric for tyres comprises a pair of parallel spindles (42) formed with helical channels and rotated in unison and a rotary winding arm with a pair of dispensers (36) for winding cord about the spindles. The spindles may be hollow for the passage of bead wires. Downstream of the winding station the fabric may pass in succession through a rubberising calender, a press, a lining calender and a cutter. |
