The first clamping jaw (1) on a tension or slide bar (3) is movable in one direction in relation to the second clamping jaw (2) by means of a lever transfer acting upon a carrier slide piece displaced against restoring force (4), with a back-pressure lock. The lever transfer comprises an arm (36) which can be shortened and belongs to an operating lever (6) affecting a surface (9) of the carrier slide piece. The operating two-armed lever has a changeable bearing point in the form of a bearing pin (8) fixed to a housing and going through an elongated opening (11). The second arm (7) is swivelled by a handle (10).
