<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carrier for developing an electrostatic latent image excellent in electrostatic chargeability, capable of forming an image excellent in halftone reproducibility and having a remarkably long service life by using a coating compsn. contg. a reactive silane compd. and a modified silicone oil. SOLUTION: A reaction coating is formed on the surface of a carrier core material with a coating compsn. contg. a reactive silane compd. and a modified silicone oil to obtain the objective carrier for developing an electrostatic latent image. The reactive silane compd. is preferably an isocyanatosilane compd. or an alkoxysilane compd. The modified silicone oil preferably has 5-15,000 cSt, in particular 10-3,000 cSt viscosity at ordinary temp. from the viewpoint of reactivity with the reactive silane compd. and easiness of formation of the reaction coating.</p> |
