<p>Optically active β-type tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate is obtained by a method comprising reacting isocyanuric acid with an optically active epiholohydrin or a method comprising optically resolving a racemic modification of tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate using amylose or a cellulose derivative. A high melting point type tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate, which is of β-type, is obtained in a high purity by mixing two enantiomers of this optically active β-type tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate in a mole ratio of 1:1.</p> |
