Rotating cylinder knitting machine useful for vertical stripe circular knitting

A rotating cylinder knitting machine has an embroidering finger (5) moving in a circular path synchronized with but offset from the cylinder (2) and intersecting the needle path. A rotating cylinder knitting machine has a mechanism for displacing an embroidering finger (5) above the needles in a continuous circular path at the same speed as the cylinder (2), the path having a rotational axis (DD') offset from that of the cylinder (2) and a diameter such that the horizontal projections of the displacement circles of the needles (3) and of the finger (5) intersect. The machine also has a finger holding mechanism for keeping the finger at the same orientation.
