PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for a battery lead wire which is free from a short- circuit between a barrier layer of an outer packaging body and a lead wire due to heat and pressure by a heat-seal device, and can stably seal the battery, when the battery itself is inserted into an outer packaging body having a sealant layer of a polyolefin resin and its peripheral part is heat-sealed in battery packaging, and to provide a packaging material for a battery using the same. SOLUTION: The battery itself is housed in the battery outer packaging body comprising at least a base layer, an adhesive layer 1, aluminum, an adhesive layer 2, and a sealant layer. The peripheral part of the outer packaging body is heat-sealed using the sealant layer. The sealant layer of a packaging material for a battery has a multi-layer structure including at least a heat- resistant resin layer on a lead wire side, consisting of 4-methyl-1-pentene polymer graft modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid. |
