PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject medicine having excellent convulsion-inhibiting action by including a specific prostaglandin derivative as an effective ingredient. SOLUTION: This epilepsy-curing medicine contains a prostaglandin derivative of the formula [X is a halogen; Y is a group of the formula (CH2)m, cis-vinylene or the like; (m) is 1-3; Z is ethylene, trans-vinylene or the like; (n) is 0-2: R1 is a 3-10C cycloalkyl, a 1-4C alkyl-substituted 3-10C cycloalkyl or the like; R2 is H, a 1-10C alkyl or the like] or its pharmaceutically allowable salt, [e.g. 9-deoxy-9β-chloro-13,14-didehydro-16,17,18,19,20-pentanol-15-cyclohexyl-PGF2α(PG is prostaglandin), etc.], as an effective ingredient. The said compound is synthesized by a method described in the patent No. WO94/02267. The does is preferably 1 ng-1 mg per day for an adult.
