PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nameplate made of a synthetic resin which can be identified by colors at a low cost and which does not produce harmful substances such as dioxins even when it is burnt. SOLUTION: This nameplate consists of a nameplate body 1 made of a synthetic resin produced by piling and melt-sealing a front sheet 2 and a back sheet 3 while forming a space 5 where a card can be inserted between the front sheet 2 and the back sheet 3, and a nameplate card 10 to be inserted into and taken out from the space 5. In this method, the front and back sheets 2, 3 of the nameplate body consists of an olefin resin, and at least the front sheet 2 of the front sheet 2 and the back sheet 3 is made transparent for all nameplates. The front face of the nameplate card 10 to be inserted into the space 5 has a colored part displayed for identification.
