PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an antigen or an antibody with high sensitivity by using a chemiluminescent reagent containing a charge-transfer complex or the like of N,N'-disubstituted-9,9'-bisaccridinium salt and the like as a main component. SOLUTION: A peroxidase enzyme labeled antibody or antigen is mixed with an antigen or an antibody to be measured in a sample or their aggregate, and an immune complex made of a peroxidase enzyme label-antigen-antibody complex is formed by an antigen-antibody reaction. Thereafter, it is separted, and subjected to a chemiluminescence in the presence of a hydrogen acceptor by using a chemiluminescent reagent containing a charge-transfer complex or the like of N,N'-disubstituted-9,9'-bisaccridinium salt and N,N-disubstituted amide carboxylate compound as main components. Its luminescent intensity is measured to determine an amount of the antigen or the antibody in the sample. Further, when a specific aminoalcohol is added the reagent, a stable chemiluminescent reaction can be realized.
