The control system has an induction pressure detection arrangement (5) for detecting an engine induction pressure, an engine operating state detector (4,12) and a controller (19) for controlling the engine operating mode according to its operating state so that the controller corrects the fuel injection quantity according to the difference pressure between an induction pressure during a uniform operating mode and the detected induction pressure.
