Procedure and equipment for the automatic and continuous detection of data relating to a winding process in its cycle operating sequences each time a preparation, recontinuation or finishing cycle is necessary for interrupting the thread in the single collecting station of an automatic winder. More specifically, this process allows a flexible and modulating thread-winding cycle to be obtained as it detects the actual operating procedure of each phase to either continue the sequence, or to block the subsequent phases making them repetitive or repositioning them in partial retroaction.
