PURPOSE: A timer identifier protecting method of a CDMA system is provided to improve a reliability of a system by minimizing a timer cancellation probability due to a program error by effectively protecting a timer identifier provided from an operation system on a real time basis. CONSTITUTION: When a timer registration request is received, a non-use identifier(ID) is searched(S1,S2). A key is generated according to a predetermined method and its value is stored in a specific region of a memory controlling the identifier(ID)(S3). The key and the identifier(ID) are combined to create a protective identifier P and returns(S4).
