A detergent composition with a softening and protective action of natural fibers, wherein the composition has no cationic surface-active agents, and contains:(a) surface-active agents selected from the group including anionic, nonionic and amphoteric surface-active agents and relative mixtures;(b) esters having the formula (I): wherein:a is between zero and 20;R2 is a mono-functional hydrocarbon radical, having from 6 to 20 carbon atoms;R1 is a mono-functional hydrocarbon radical defined in the claims.
