FUEL CELL SEPARATOR AND FUEL CELL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell separator that is improved in mechanical strength, electrical properties and gas non-infiltration and a fuel cell using this fuel cell separator. SOLUTION: The fuel cell separator comprises a rib section and a flat section and the flat section comprises a layer which contains expanded graphite and resin and has a density of 1.3-1.75 g/cm3, and a fuel cell using this separator is offered. It is also preferable that the rib section of the fuel cell separator is made of a layer which contains expanded graphite and resin and has a density of 1.45-1.75 g/cm3.
