PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a stabilized print quality by adjusting variation in the recording of a line head in units of dot. SOLUTION: The magnetic printer where a magnetic recording head having styluses, formed by winding a coil around a magnetic core, arranged in matrix is applied, to the coil thereof, with a drive voltage depending on an image signal and a magnetic recording drum 1 disposed oppositely to the magnetic recording head is magnetized by means of each stylus in units of dot to form a magnetic latent image being developed with toner and transferred is provided with means 11 for detecting the magnetic output from the magnetic recording head 10 units of dot, and means for controlling a drive voltage being applied to the coil depending on the detection results of the magnetic output detecting means.
