PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compact the entire motor-driven spot welding gun. SOLUTION: A servo motor 5 is provided with a motor housing 5a mounted on the main body 2 of the gun, a stator 5b fixed in the motor housing 5a, and a hollow rotor 5c freely rotatably journaled in the motor housing 5a, and a feed screw mechanism 6 is provided with a spiral rod 6a which rotates connected with the hollow rotor 5c and a nut 6b which engages with the spiral rod 6a and drives an upper tip 8 back and forth with respect to a lower tip 4.
