Location system for racing cars on a racetrack in which the track course is stored in computer memory and cars have travel locating devices that transmit data to a central controlling computer

The location system for racing cars (3) on a track (2) is used where each car has a vehicle information device. Each information device has a locating device that can be used to determine the position of the car. There is a transmitter which can pass the position information to a central controller computer. The latter receives the data via a receiver and uses track data stored in memory to calculate positions of cars. The invention also relates to use of the data collected using the above system for use in a computer simulation game.
