PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system where a master set properly transfers a callback returned from a communication destination only to a slave set (or master set) calling the communication destination. SOLUTION: In the communication system where each of slave sets 20 makes communication via a master set 10 connected to a communication channel 50, each slave set 20 is provided with a call information generating section that generates callback information denoting communication by a callback with a communication destination 40 and informs the master set 10 about it, and the master set 10 is provided with a call information analysis section that records correspondence between the slave set and the communication destination when receiving the callback information from the slave set to make a call for callback to the communication destination and with an incoming call discrimination section that receives an incoming call from the communication channel 50, discriminates whether or not the caller is the communication destination 40 having made a call for callback before, designates the slave set 20 recording the correspondence with the communication destination 40 when the caller is the communication destination 40 and passes the incoming call of the destination 40 over to the slave set 20.
