PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can inform its location to a calling party and can acquire the relative position of portable terminals on the originating side and terminating side. SOLUTION: The portable terminal comprises a GPS receiving section (positional information acquiring section) 4, a display section 6, and a section 14 for setting whether positional information is attached to a signal being used for informing the originator number or not. A control section 2 displays positional information acquired at the positional information acquiring section 4 to the display section 6 and attaches the positional information to that signal at the time of calling if attachment of the positional information is set.
