PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set that can surely output a warning tone when a user encounters an emergency, without notifying a third party of the fact that the user has made a contact with an emergency contact destination. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set is provided with a radio section 3, a transmission section 5, a reception section 6, a sound source section 11, and a control section 4. When a specific voice by a specific talker enters the transmission section 5, the control section 4 allows the sound source section 11 to output a warning tone.
