PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion management line of a superlow loss formed by combining a plurality of optical fibers and suitable for long-distance, high- speed and large-capacity transmission. SOLUTION: The optical transmission line 1 has a positive dispersion optical fiber 11 which has positive dispersion and a positive dispersion slope and a negative dispersion optical fiber 12 as a trailing stage, which has negative dispersion and a negative dispersion slope and has its dispersion so managed as to have nearly zero dispersion at a 1.55 μm band; and the transmission losses at the 1.55 μm band of the positive dispersion optical fiber 11 and negative dispersion optical fiber 12 are both <=0.23 dB/km and the difference between the two optical fibers in transmission losses is <=0.05 dB/km.
