The invention concerns a provisional dental implant designed to prepare the alveolus of an extracted tooth for subsequent setting of a specific dental implant. The invention also concerns the use of said provisional implant for functional and/or aesthetic purposes. The invention further concerns kits, methods and tools, in particular resin models, useful for using or preparing said implants.
