摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sticking of dross (which sticks on the surface of steel strip to be plated and causes lowering of product quality of the plated steel sheet product.) on the surface of the steels trip by efficiently discharging the dross floating on the surface of plating bath in a snout to the outside of the snout of a continuous hot dip metal plating device. SOLUTION: Formation of a coagulation film on the surface of the plating bath and sticking of floating dross onto the wall surface are prevented by heating the wall of the snout 2 and keeping the wall warm with a heater 10 provided at the lower end side of the snout 2, and at the same time, the floating dross is sucked/ discharged by a snout pump 3 according to the situation of dross formation. The preferable heating and holding temperature of the wall of the snout is TB+10 to 70 deg.C (TB is a setting temperature of the plating bath). Thereby, such effects that the amount of the dross staying at the surface of the plating bath becomes small, the surface of the plating bath is kept clean, and further, the generation of surface defects in the plated steel sheet product is suppressed and the work also reduced in maintenance of the snout can be obtained.
