PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal pressure adjusting mechanism of a heat seal apparatus in a filling and packaging machine capable of adjusting a clearance (a seal pressure) between lateral seal members in a superior manner under its proper state when some packaged items having different viscosities in particular are concurrently heat sealed by the same filling and packaging machine. SOLUTION: A clearance of lateral seal members 6B arranged against each of outer circumferential surfaces of a pair of lateral seal rolls 6A in a heat seal apparatus in a filling and packaging machine is set in response to a filling and packaging condition of the packaged items W filled in a cylindrical packaging bag P comprised of a plurality of rows. Even if the viscosities of the packaged items W applied as the filling and packaging condition of the packaged items W are different from each other, the clearance adjustment (the seal pressure) between the lateral seal members 6B can be carried out in a superior manner while being kept at a proper state. |
