PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital key telephone terminal that can simply attain mode settings in a short time and reduce occurrence of artificial mistakes to the utmost. SOLUTION: The digital key telephone terminal 1 is provided with an EEPROM 16 that can store a mode setting code and conduct communication processing with a digital key telephone master unit 2 based on the mode setting code stored in the EEPROM 16. When a request of mode setting revision is operated, the mode setting code stored in the EEPROM 16 is rewritten into a new mode setting code given externally.
