PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast system and a receiver, which allow a user to modify the displaying method of data, which the user wants to receive, at each receiver, and are easy to be upgraded in the future. SOLUTION: A broadcast station broadcasts broadcast programs corresponding to the type of data with the broadcast programs divided into a plurality of package data 3. A receiver 2 selects between package data to be played and package data to be rejected according to specifications by using a filter 21. Furthermore, a filter control table 22 defines what type of package to be played.
