PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfamide compound acting as a selectiveβ3 agonist and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the sulfamide compound. SOLUTION: This sulfamide compound is represented by the formula (I) (wherein, e.g. R<0> , R<1> , R<4> and R<5> are each hydrogen; R<2> and R<3> are each methyl group; Ar is 3-chlorophenyl group; X is a covalent bond; and R<6> and R<7> are each methylene group and together form a 6-membered ring). [N-[4-[2-[[(2 R)-2-(3-chlorophenyl)-2-hydroxyethyl]amino]-2-methylpropyl]phenyl]-1- piperidinesulfonamide]. The pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound can be used in treatment of diseases dependent on the signaling pathway associated withβ-adrenergic receptors, e.g. obesity, diabetes, hypertension, gastrointestinal hypo- or hyper-motility and cardiovascular diseases.
