END-DEFICIENT MUTANT OF IP3 RECEPTOR PROTEIN INDUCING APOPTOSIS

摘要

A novel apoptosis-inducing drug which makes it possible to prevent or treat cell proliferative diseases. By expressing a mutant protein consisting of the channel domain alone of an IP3 receptor, apoptosis can be induced in a cell in which it is expressed. This mutant protein is localized on endoplasmic reticulum in a cell and makes calcium in the endoplasmic reticulum to flow toward the cytoplasm to thereby induce apoptosis of the cell.
