<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress energy loss of braking/driving force while suppressing a sense of incongruity given to a driver in performing automatic deceleration according to the turning state of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: Target deceleration Xg* is computed according to deviationΔV between turning speed V and target turning speed V* (step S5), and when the target deceleration Xg* becomes larger than 0 (Yes in determination of step S6), the turning state of the vehicle is close to the limit of turning performance. Automatic deceleration is thereby performed. At this time, if accelerator opening Acc is larger than a predetermined valueα(Yes in determination of step S7), it means that the driver is stepping on an accelerator pedal.
