<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply suitable for a vehicle by using a secondary battery such as a lead-acid battery and an electric double layer capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: This power supply of a vehicle comprises a motor starting an engine, a generator generating power by the deceleration energy of the engine and the vehicle, and a power supply control circuit 10 which connects the secondary battery to the drive circuit of the starter motor through a first switch 13, connects the electric double layer capacitor to the drive circuit of the starter motor through a second switch 16, connects the output circuit of the generator to the secondary battery through a first diode 18 and to the electric double layer capacitor through a third switch 19 and a second diode 20, and when the voltage of the electric double layer capacitor is equal to or higher than a specified value when the engine is started, turns on the second switch and when the voltage of the electric double layer capacitor is less than the specified value, turns on the first switch, and when the voltage of the secondary battery is equal to or higher than the specified value and the voltage of the electric double layer capacitor is less than the specified value during the operation of the engine, turns on the third switch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
